FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Cut Network Abusers Off with the "Abuser Blaster"

ATLANTA, GA, June 21, 2004 - AutoNOC LLC is very pleased to announce that we have released AutoNOC 2.4.26. This maintenance and minor feature update includes the addition of a number of minor features, significant bug fixes and issue resolutions for customers.

Some of the highlights in the 2.4.26 release:

  • "Abuser Blaster" Lets You Surgically Cut Links on the Network
AutoNOC 2.4.26 includes a new capability that lets interface links anywhere on the network (with SNMP write enabled) be disabled in either a manual or automated manner. This powerful capability allows the user to create alarms that monitor bandwidth usage and then automatically disable affected interfaces. This feature is especially useful in educational and other public access settings.
